I created this piece of work based off of the brief ‘edges and overlaps’ - in this circumstance, the overlapping of emotions represents the lack of distinction between emotions; the lack of edges/boundaries within emotion. It is multiple emotions overlapping themselves, collaged with images of my model to represent the variation in emotion. I layered the paint extremely thick to create a deeper, more textured effect - representing emotions literally, as well as metaphorically.
