The ethos of SFC is community and brining everyone together through soccer. I then carried this ethos into the office space by creating an environment where each and every one will feel at home and part of a family.
The most important goal for this physical work space is to have an environment where people will be happy. Why is personal happiness so crucial at the work place? Because when people are happy, they are more productive, more creative, experience less absenteeism and job turnover, and get along better with their peers and employers than when they are dissatisfied.
My concept for this project was inspired by the curved lines in the Stellenbosch Football Club Logo. According to Oregon State University, several experiments have proved that curved contour furniture and spaces promote happiness, comfort and desire to be in that particular setting.
