Pawel Nawrocki - Twenty four
The project was completed in the studio of editorial graphics under the supervision of prof. Stanislaw Labecki for my degree thesis in 2012.
Twenty four is the documentary work which aims to depict profiles of people who are involved in creating various arts. Between 2010 and 2012, the author of this project managed to visit twenty four persons. Each person was monitored for twenty four hours in order to carefully observe his/hers artistic creativity. Eventually, the author himself became a part of this unique survey. The ascetic form of this album, accompanied only by the essential written information , allows the photographs to speak for themselves. Integral part of this degree thesis is the publication “ Modular grid patterns in the publications of Polish avant-garde period, instances of selected works by Władysław Strzemiński, Henryk Stażewski, Mieczysław Szczuka, Teresa Żarnoweróna, Henryk Berlewi".
The final and closing part of this project was a postgraduate exhibition that took place in the city of Lodz as well as in the author's home town – Piotrkow Trybunalski.
After two years of completing my degree thesis I have an opportunity to summarize this project and present it to the wider audience.
