Batik is an Indonesian traditional cultural heritage that is inherited from generation to generation as a reflection of the temperament of the maker who requires tenacity and patience in the process. Based on a survey conducted with 5 handmade batik craftsmen in Samarinda, showed that even though times are modern, the making of handwritten batik still uses existed items at home without paying attention to health and the comfort of body posture.
