On an early Sunday morning in Muldersvlei, Cape Town we experienced a sunrise from quite the unusual perspective. Most sunrises aren't spent with 4 tanks of gas blowing hot air into a balloon above your head whilst you stand in a basket high enough that people look like ants and ants don't look like anything.
There were many herds of cows grazing on the large fields below us.
The black line of smoke you see coming into the frame from the right was caused by a fire that took place in a nearby township.
Here the black line of smoke is even more visible. We were also able to see Table Mountain from certain angles.
