DONOSTIA ZINEMALDIA
In this fictitious project for the @sansebastianfes of Donostia I have chosen space as a concept, as it is closely related to time, which is the main theme of this edition of the Film Festival. To link past, present and future times, I have played with different representative symbols; the circles allude to space, which represents the future. The old photographs represent the past and the layout of the posters, the present.
Poster for the Pearls section of the International Fim Festival of San Sebastián.
For this Pearls poster, I combined the title of the section with the shape of the pearl itself: the circle. The circle represents an endless cycle, which together with the idea of time, brings together past, present and future. That is what happens in this poster.
Poster for the New Directors section of the International Fim Festival of San Sebastián.
This New Directors poster is called: "The Galaxy". From my point of view, if the Galaxy were to take the form of a human being, it would undoubtedly be a woman. For it is this spiral, made up of billions of stars and their solar systems, that takes us under its protection as we travel through the Universe.
For this poster, I have used the photography of my grandmother. Her delicate features remind us of her femininity and the extraordinary strength she had to bring up a family of six children. That is why I combine the title of this section with the new talents that have gone unnoticed and those that are yet to come and that we must show to the world.
