Matchmaker | השדכן | ماتش ماكر

The “Matchmaker” project, a collaboration between Hansen house, designer Daniel Nahmias and Jerusalem Design Week, wishes to tell the story of this city and revive its ancient crafts by bringing together local contemporary designers and traditional craftspeople – an intergenerational, interdisciplinary connection that breeds new products.

Typography is known among graphic designers as one of the most challenging elements to get right. So designing a logo that had to include 3 different scripts and maintain balance and harmony was a great opportunity to tackle something new.
The word matchmaker also means stapler in Hebrew, which is why I incorporated staples in addition to the logotype.

The result is a complex yet simple logo at the same time.
