BACKGROUND
The World Hockey Alliance (WHA) is a passion project of mine about a fictional hockey league inspired by dice games I created as a child. The WHA acts like a World Tournament of hockey, where teams all over the world compete for "The Global Cup." Teams qualify for the World Tournament based on their final standings within their prospective regions. From there, a 12 team tournament, with the top 4 teams receiving a bye, in a single elimination style tournament with one team the victor at the end. Currently, the WHA has over 36 teams in North America and 16 International teams that participate in the World Tournament.
GOAL
To create and develop professional and unique team brands that takes a fictional league and appears to fit within the real world sports landscape. Most designs created for this project were created in partnership with HATCLUB.COM
