Discipleship Testimony Video | Shane Longoria

Fall of 2013

Shane Longoria tells us his experience with discipleship and what he has learned. This was a video for the FBC Belton College Ministry.
Funny, this picture displays a shot I did not use in the video because we decided to go in a completely different direction with the video.
Shane, like Jacob, is also my roommate so we were able to film in the comfort of our apartment with all of my camera equipment and some of FBC Belton's equipment.

I decided to include more planning in this video than the last two. At first, we wanted to just briefly talk through his discipleship experience and then film it, and pictures from that are displayed above. We watched the footage and we were not satisfied so we decided to take more time caring about the content of the speaking role. After talking through and filming for four hours one Sunday, we finally were satisfied with the words he used.
This was taken at Shane's intermeral football game with 'The Disciples'.
Following him around was obviously something I was going to do with Shane, as I did with Jacob. I went to his intermeral football game, FOCUS planning, a BSM meeting (I'm a member of our BSM team so I had to go anyway), and to FOCUS where he led worship. Following him around was critical to telling his story because so much of his everyday life showed results of his initial and current discipleship experience.
This was from the beginning of the video when Shane walks by the camera. Shane is thinking in this Shot.
Aside from following him around, we staged a few shots, like the beginning scene when he walks past the camera. So I took real live footage and staged footage (not including the narration) to create his visual story.

After production, I finally threw the V-Moda headphones on edited my heart out. None of the music licensed and I did not sell this video.
