The Carbon Aerobar is a unique one-piece molded composite spreader bar, ergonomically designed to move with the curve of your body. Boasting rigidity, weight reduction using pre-preg carbon fiber, and comfort with a built-in EVA molded bar pad.
By observing the struggles of clipping into a standard spreader bar, we set out to achieve a design that is not only comfortable and easy to use when clipping in and out, but also functions with the same level of comfort when riding. This is what drove the ergonomic form of the spreader bar and pad combination, a smooth shape allowing movement and connection between your body and the spreader bar.
The dual FAA release mechanism allows the spreader bar to be easily unclipped should you need to get out of your harness quickly, or want to remove the spreader bar completely to travel. The open mechanism design is not only intuitive, but functions reliably and is effortless to use.
The body is constructed completely from Carbon fiber, which provides its rigid structure, while all moving parts and clips are made from stainless steel to ensure durability and longevity. The seamless integration of the Carbon hook provides a smooth and distributed load through the spreader bar body while maintaining the ergonomic form.
While the ISO standard for testing kiteboarding Quick Release Mechanisms has been established as ISO-21853, we consulted Product Engineer, Dave Kay, when setting up the testing procedure for the Carbon Aerobar.
The Carbon Aerobar is aimed at all styles of kiteboarding, allowing for increased freedom of movement in a premium package.
Not only is the spreader bar really comfortable while performing maneuvers, but the smooth hook shape ensures seamless hooking and unhooking.
