Kampung Batik Semarang is one of Semarangan batik centers in the city of Semarang, Indonesia. It has producing Semarangan batik since the beginning of the 20th century and many indigenous people in the city of Semarang made a living in the batik industry sector. In 2016, Kampung Batik Semarang is transformed into a clean and safe area along with the increase in batik production which has an impact on improving the economy of the residents of Kampung Batik Semarang. The residents made a mural about the history of the city of Semarang to attract more tourists visiting Kampung Batik Semarang. Kampung Batik Semarang is located in Rejomulyo Village, East Semarang District.
The Problem
Many tourists are not familiar with Kampung Batik Semarang as a tourist destination in the city of Semarang. This situation is very unfortunate because Kampung Batik Semarang is a center for the preservation of Semarangan batik which has a strong historical background and great tourism potential because it is located near a leading tourism area, namely Kota Lama Semarang (The Old City of Semarang).
