Website Re-Design

Project Brief:

This was a project where I chose existing website to enhance and elevate through UI/UX implements and improvements. My goal was to re-design and fully prototype 5-8 website pages along with a static home page for mobile and tablet viewers to simulate responsive design.

The Idea:

I really needed to get out of my comfort zone for this project because I wanted to expand my portfolio into areas I had not yet explored. I chose the website called Meditation Oasis. This website lacked branding and greeted its visitors will walls of text with little to no insight about meditation initially. My plan was to create an elevated version of this website with new branding-imagery and a set color palette. The concept of "oasis" should be apparent throughout the solutions.

Process:

I started this project by delving into a small case study about the potential users of my website and how they would interact with different features of the site. By doing this I was able to create a user workflow sitemap that could be used to reference when creating the screen wireframes. Once I had an idea about who my users were, I began creating wireframes and re-designing the screens that the original site had to offer. I cut out a few of the original screens to create less clutter in the top menu bar and as a result ended up with a very concise and easy-to-use interface.
