Project Brief Summary
This project requires its designers to conceptualise and generate an UX/UI outcome. This outcome will act as a continuation of the previous CI project. The UX/UI outcome should adopt an appropriate concept. The project involves conducting research,
user testing, prototyping, wire-framing and a final digital execution. At the end of the project a vertical narrative should be developed. While UX/UI designs normally consists of a huge number of user journeys and systems, this project focuses
on the apps core functions.

Rationale
The Roar app aims to provide children all over the world with an African experience from the safety of their homes. This
brand acts as a subscription service that provides child-orientated, educational and entertaining games, activities and toys.
The app aims to be informative, simple and easy to use. The app is directed at parents with small
children who wish to enhance their child's education and expose them to new, helpful stimuli. The app can
be used as a way to track the child's progress, subscribe to monthly packages or purchase individual toys.

Roar seeks to fill a gap in the market by providing an app that is focused on increasing skills such
as speech, reading, motor skills e.t.c. Many of the items used will also provide a place for guardian
and child to connect and form a positive form of attachment. It is essential for the Roar app to function
easily and flow well to provide ease for its users.

Reason for redo:
Previously when I designed the app, I chose a range of earthy, natural tones. This was my attempt to appeal to both guardian and child. After looking back on the project, I decided that that the colours didn't communicate a fun, family friendly app. Instead it appeared serious. When I redid the app I tried to focus on designing something bright, playful and eye catching. By redoing the app I also had to redo many of the branding elements found in the project 01 BRAND STRATEGY & IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT. (including logo, illustrations and pattern design).

NEW COLOUR SCHEME
NEW PATTERNS
These patterns have been altered to fit in with the updated brand. They now appear warm, friendly and bright. The patterns can be used for in the UX/UI design, packaging, website etc.
FINAL DIGITAL EXECUTION OF APP
The images below show the app's user journeys. The red line shows how the user navigates through the app.

The first user journey shows the initial screens that are launched when the app is used. The user is introduced to the app,
and asked to sign in or create an account. We then see the home page and what is available on the burger menu on
the top right of the screen.
The next journey shows the timeline navigation. In this area of the app the guardian can track their littles ones
progress. This allows them to identify which areas need more attention in their development. This section
contains a quiz, recommendations and suggested toys.
The next journey shows the toy navigation system within the app. In this section the user can scroll through toys for all ages, genders and interests. If they decide to, a user can view the chosen toy in more detail and add it to their cart. When the user is done shopping they can click on the burger menu to see what they have added to their cart. They are then able to pay for their items and track their parcel on the map.
The last journey shows the subscription navigation. This part of the app offers users a way of subscribing to a set package. These packages ensure new toys are arriving every month with the intention of developing a specific skill. The length of time and the skills developed by the subscription can be chosen by the guardian.
MOCKUPS OF THE APP
These mockups are meant to demonstrate how the app would look if applied.
