Brief Summary
In short, the brief for this project was to conceptuallise and create a well-crafted and captivating character as well as show a glimpse of the world the character lives in. The elements that form part of this project includes:

- a landing page with the character's landing page
- a minimum of 5 character expressions
- a minimum of 5 full body poses
- a short narrative (no more than 250 words)
- a glimpse of the character's environment

All of this was to be presented in a vertical narrative that has an interesting and effective layout.

Design Strategy
The biggest challenge when conceptualising any character is creating the character's personality. Making a character that an audience is automatically drawn to needs an authentic personality that the look of the character is based on. For this project we were specifically asked to create a character that has an undeniable flaw.

The character that I ended up creating, whose name is Blotch, stems from the idea that I felt most creative people can relate to. The fear of a blank page and the frustration of a sketch that just doesn't turn out the way you want it to so you end up abandoning it. Blotch represents the wonder that can come out of embracing imperfections and accepting that things don't always just go along with the grand schemes that you have in your head. In a way Blotch's flaw, which is his being incomplete, makes him that much more interesting.
