I visited four islands in French Polynesia in December 2001 and went to Paul Gauguin's house in Tahiti before going to Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Manihi. I loved how the wonderfully warm turquoise of the lagoons adjoined the sandy coral atoll reef which protected the lagoon from the infinite blue of the pacific ocean and the vast sky. I like the idea of the ever-changing stormy passionate skies in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It was like being in a dream.
