Noodle Package design

 The brief was to design a packaging for any branded product, existing or of your own creation, with the objective of promoting environmental awareness. My idea was to eliminate plastic or foil from instant noodle packaging because of the amount of waste the product produces from just it’s packaging alone. Cardboard has only has always been the first solution for alternative packaging. It does have it’s own environmental cons but it is a better solution since it takes ±3 months to decompose as opposed to plastic and foil that does not decompose and breaks down into smaller harmful particles.
The product comes in three popular Chinese flavours; pork, prawn and chicken, since my whole concept was based around Chinese cuisine. The brand is called CHOW TIME, since Chinese noodles are called chow mein. The style and design is quite simple with distinct colours to separate the different types of noodles. I chose to do that because I wanted the target market to just look at the product and known exactly which flavour they were getting without reading the packaging.
