For this project we were to design an identity and branding strategy for 
a project or cause of our own invention that addresses a pressing social issue and demonstrates the value of design in a clear, compelling and accessible way. 
 
I decided to create an app that tracks your miles as you hike, and for every mile you go, it donates a dollar towards a selected national park of the month.
 
I named the app ‘footprint’. While you are hiking, you are creating actual footprints, but it also  holds a double meaning. I want the app to help put a positive impact on our environment. Instead of contributing to your carbon footprint, you are putting a positive mark or footprint onto these national parks. By doing so, this improves and supports not only our environment and biodiversity that we are losing at an increasingly fast rate, but preserves the nature and beauty of our national parks.
