According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in 88 children in America has autism spectrum disorder. ASD is characterized by deficits in social interaction and communication, repetitive behaviors, and restricted interests. But what can you do to support autism awareness or show solidarity with individuals with autism?

Children with ASD are usually excluded from social activities because they seem to engage in behaviors deemed outside societal norms. Today, the need for acceptance is stronger than ever. Try and invite such children or their families for a cup of tea and help them live fully.

Lastly, consider giving financial support to organizations working with children with ASD, such as the Autism Society or Autism Speaks.
