MediEase Stretcher System

Industrial Design
An Improved Casualty Movement

The MediEase stretcher system consists of a light portable stretcher and a medical carrying vest. The design aims to cope with hard to access locations or disaster situations through an improved casualty movement: increased mobility, better well-being, less fatigue, and availability of fast medical supplies.
The MediEase stretcher system allows an increased well-being for rescue personnel by allowing ease of support during the casualty movement process. It distributes the weight of the casualty for the rescuers, allowing a fast and efficient rescue. The safety factor is higher and allows a hands-free operation when encountering difficult terrain. There are also extensible handles to allow easier carrying over longer periods.
The MediEase stretcher has a modular system that allows both rigid and flexible support to be used and thus caters to the different needs of a casualty. The system is stackable and allows many stretchers to be stacked together for efficient storage and transportation.
The MediEase carrying vest provides mobile and immediate access to first aid in times of a mass-casualty event. The MediEase stretcher also comes with soft protective sides to ensure the physical well-being of the casualties and a heightened feeling of security during transportation.
