Redesign of the coat of arms and flag of Blagoevgrad
The shield is heater-shaped, split vertically in two fields of gold and red, each containing a rampant lion of the opposite tincture under a 16 pointed countercharged star, placed in the centre. At the bottom of the shield a river wavy pattern is displayed in silver and blue.
The arms are crowned with a mutal crown with three rectangular towers.
The flag is a red field with a 16 pointed golden star in the hoist 1/3th.
