Art230- Typography- The assignment given to the class was to create two pieces using a serif Stemple Garamond Roman, and a san serif Neue Haas Grotesque Bold. We need to showcase each fonts on personality, as well as creating something that was visually interesting. Bringing in all the elements of designing and making sure we added at least 5 parts of typography anatomy. It was a really interesting process from start sketches to finish, and I enjoyed being able to manipulate and change these letters to make something completely new. 

San Serif final, I just really like how the glyphs messed together and created almost new shapes. The negative white spaces almost tell just as much a story as the black letters, and vice versa. I love the middle 3, and just how bold and commanding it is in the space. 

The serif version- I really wanted to play with motion here, it almost reminds me of winding inwards. Each of the glyphs in the middle holding each other up. It feels like they are almost floating to the top.
