The tradition of celebrating Children's Week worldwide is very long,
and this year it was held between 4th and 10th of October.
In our country this lovely tradition is held at the initiative of the Friends of Children of Serbia,
a nonprofit organization dedicated to children's rights, which is a longtime organizer of this event.

As a laureat of the Neven 2020 Illustrator of the Year award, it was my task to design this year's poster for Children's Week in Serbia.
The verses of well-known Serbian poet Ljubivoje Ršumović were chosen as the motto of this year's event: "Dete je dete, da ga volite i razumete"
("Every child should be loved and understood")
During the Children's Week, all first-graders in Serbia receive welcoming note for successful begining of schooling, the welcoming note each year includes an illustration and a poem, both by the laureats of the Neven Award.
Inspirations: happy and carefree, support and understand, playing old games with old toys, acceptance, playful, colorful, springtime, schooltime, and daydreaming.
