Do you wish you never loved someone at all because their loss pains you so much?

Well, these famous lines from Alfred Tennyson's poem provides ailment for that pain. Once you love someone, you can never really lose them. Even if they are no more in your lives, it doesn't mean you cease to love them. No matter how much pain their loss brings you, it comes from a reason. And that reason is love. Because when you loved them, you loved them indefinitely. And that was indeed beautiful!

The poem is a requiem for Tennyson's friend Arthur Henry Hallam, who died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1833. Written over 17 years, it is considered one of the great poems of the 19th century.
