STORYLINE

SYNOPSIS
Sikanda Warrior departs in search of Jaguar God unaware of the fact that Unaidu, his younger brother, is following him in hiding. When Sikanda falls in battle, Unaidu, due his kindness and purity, mixes his blood with Jaguar God to save his brother from death. They will face Yatañaña and his vast army of Coyote Warriors. Their mission is to save the last tree that outstands their people and reestablish peace on Earth.
El guerrero Sikánda parte en una misión secreta en busca del Dios Jaguar sin saber que su hermano menor Unaidu, lo sigue a escondidas. Cuando Sikánda cae en batalla, Unaidu, por su bondad y pureza, es elegido por el Dios Jaguar, mezclando su espíritu con el del niño, convirtiéndose en el mítico Guerrero Jaguar y salva a su hermano de la muerte. El Pueblo de las Nubes enfrenta a Yatañaña y su inmenso ejército de Guerreros Coyote. Con la ayuda del Guerrero Jaguar e Ita, una niña hechicera, deben salvar al último árbol que sostiene al cielo para salvar la vida y restablecer la paz en la tierra.

"I collaborated as executive producer of The Quest for the Jaguar Warrior, animation feature film project, mainly working along with director Iván Espinosa.
As director of his own media company, Manuel Gálvez approached Cancun Riviera Maya International Film Festival when I was serving as founder/director. Later on, as head of Production at Estudios Churubusco --historical Mexican Government's film studios--, and producer of Jaguar Warrior, he invited me to collaborate in the project.
I worked from Madrid and visited Mexico City several times contributing to organize the production team in its early stages. I was assigned to contact Headless animation studio in Barcelona, and make the link with Ocho Venado Producciones. I also approached production companies and potential investors, and represented the project attending San Sebastian International Film Festival.
As a filmmaker/multimedia artist with no previous experience on animation, Jaguar Warrior was truly enriching. During a year, this cooperation turned to be very inspiring getting to know brilliant Headless studio in Barcelona, other companies in Madrid and Bilbao. Also, it was great engaging in a project reaching contacts with Canada and India, working with production coordinator Guadalupe Lima, and meeting executive producer Tita Lombardo in Mexico City." --PEDRO VALIENTE
