Hi there! first I started with a sketch wich evolved to this lineart of my Balrog.
The final version will not show legs, that´s why I didn't draw them.
Then, I did these flats.
After that, it was really fun to work in these lights, shadows and colors to increase the creature's presence.
Almost to finish, here are all the extra elements to complement my design (highlights, some texture, atmosphere, shades, tones, etc...).
Finally, I added the fire whip in order to show a really devastating monster from middle earth.
