In the past Alchemy was considered to be part nature and art, the principles surrounding deconstructing matter and reconstructing it. Improving on natural substances and objects or hopping to achieve art (man-made material) with the same quality as the natural. Alchemists were designers who saw the world through science. Some viewed it (Alchemy) as a mystical form of magic while others had a perspective of it being a pure science. The final group are people who believe it to be a mixture of both. The “magic/miracles” of Alchemy are viewed as some to be ununderstood aspects to science, making them 2 sides of the same coin.
Below is a time line tracking my 20 hours of research into alchemy. Within this process due to the large scale of alchemic types and fields, I had to narrow it down and relate it to something I am familiar with. This choice was Christianity.
