VALORANT 2021 Champions Tour NA

I had the opportunity to work on an exciting spot promoting the Valorant 2021 Champions Tour for North America. Though my design direction wasn't ultimately chosen, I still had a blast diving into the world of this 5v5 character-based tactical shooter. The visual language of Valorant and it's branding already has a really cool, well designed aesthetic supported by some awesome 2D FX animation. So I tried to play into this look with a moody design brought to life with energetic 2D FX graphics.

Below are some of my favorite design frames as well as the opening animation and some motion tests I made for the final spot created by the talented team I was a part of at We Are Royale.
