Cheburashka
As part of a screenprinting project, I chose the Soviet-Russian cultural icon Cheburashka. I wanted to focus on the nostalgia that made him well-known throughout the former USSR and Japan, and I interpreted him as such. The resulting prints also reflect this, using colors found in merchandise throughout the 1970s.
