I was researching existing sign systems and was trying to change the meaning of the signs in different combinations. Thus, I used Isotype graphics to make social commentaries about existing problems in big cities - industrialization, pollution, etc. Isotype set the beginning of today's pictograms as we know them, so it is somehow part of the urban environment.
And also I used transparent paper to represent the chaos of the cities.
