sow the wind and reap whirlwind

This project is a study of memories and an analysis of language and its difficulties.
This concept originates from my anthropological studies and develops through authors like Charles Goodman (Goodwin, Charles ( 1995), "Seeing in Depth. Social Studies of Science 25: "Perception is something that is instantiated in situated social practices, rather than the individual brain").
What is a proverb ?
We approach others using commonplaces, we use proverbs in order to fill that empty space between one world and another: silences, embarrassment, discomfort, self-consciousness.
Lately (supported by transformers and the Akrai Residency ) I am combining this concept with a study of the memory. The memory is not seen as a tool to preserve experiences and emotions, but rather as an obstacle to the development of the present. The inability to manage the present is born from this kind of memory, the time becomes cyclical and freezes in a moment. Individuals are "tied " to the past that transforms the present into an anachronism. Once again it's through the stall I'm finding the link between the commonplaces, the memories and the body. In order to bring this link from the depth to the surface I began recording the proverbs and remarkable stories of everyday lives: I have collected many proverbs that come from all around Italy and some commonplaces from Europe. The rhythm of the voices, one completely different from the other, adds to the value of this research: a variety of genders, ages and dialects creates an interesting mix that evokes ancestral memories. Speech impediments are included.
