Abstract:

In the world there are about 195 countries and 270 nationalities. Each nationality has their own characteristics and ways to lead their lives. These unique characteristics depends on those nation’s heritage, culture, social life, literature, anthropology, art, architecture and many other ceremony or rituals. Now, how we came to know about these unique characteristics and ways of our life? In the beginning of all life, we were in the fight for survival then after we learnt how to survive and developed a sense of belief. That believes continuously transformed into many ways of social construction and many methods of life. And in the present, our society more like humanity depending on these social structures those we got from the past. We need to capitalize these ways or rituals to have a unique future as a unique nation in the world.
Among all heritage is the most important social structure for any nation. Heritage is the full range of our inherited traditions, monuments, objects, and culture.  Most important, it is the range of contemporary activities, meanings, and behaviors that we draw from them. Heritage includes, but is much more than preserving, excavating, displaying, or restoring a collection of old things.  It is both tangible and intangible, in the sense that ideas and memories--of songs, recipes, language, dances, and many other elements of who we are and how we identify ourselves--are as important as historical buildings and archaeological sites.
Heritage is, or should be, the subject of active public reflection, debate, and discussion.  What is worth saving?  What can we, or should we, forget?  What memories can we enjoy, regret, or learn from?  Who owns "The Past" and who is entitled to speak for past generations?  Active public discussion about material and intangible heritage--of individuals, groups, communities, and nations--is a valuable facet of public life in our multicultural world. Heritage is a contemporary activity with far-reaching effects.  It can be an element of far-sighted urban and regional planning.  It can be the platform for political recognition, a medium for intercultural dialogue, a means of ethical reflection, and the potential basis for local economic development.  It is simultaneously local and particular, global and shared. Heritage is an essential part of the present we live in--and of the future we will build.
Archaeology is one of the most important part of heritage that we need to conserve. Archaeology is the study of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artefacts and other physical remains. My project is right beside Shal ban vihara at Mainamati, Comilla, Bangladesh. The main objective of this project is to signify the importance of this vihara and conserve its territorial area. I tried to make this project as environment friendly as possible. The main complex has two parts one is the museum which is the main part and which is for the public approach. And the other part is the research center and dorm form the research employees. My main vison is to take common people to the environment where archaeologists work and how those artefacts or physical remains really found.
