Ferritins are almost as sexy as photosystems for artistic purposes. I personally love the spherical and compact shape of these proteins, designed for the transport and storage of iron in very diverse environments. Here you have a new mutated ferritin from Thermotoga maritima, determined by X-ray diffraction at very high resolution (PDB code: 6TXI)
