Zoogle | Attica Zoological Park

My university thesis, “Zoogle”, is a hypothetical project I did as a student in 2009 as part of my undergraduate studies.

The Naming
The Attica zoological park is an existing area near Athens, Greece. I decided to give it a new name so as to match it with the overall rebranding and “modernistic” aspect of the park. Thus, the word “zoogle” is a combination of the words “Zoo” and “Google”, whilst the pronunciation of the word evokes the Greek word “zounkla”, which means “jungle”.

The Design
The challenge in this project was to design both a brand identity and an advertising campaign without the use of any animal photos, since this would limit the curiosity and imagination of visitors, and especially that of children. This technique, the illustration of the park, its areas and its landscape, excites the viewer’s imagination and gives a more "playful" feel to the overall result.

The project was finalised with the design of corporate brochures, a website and gift shop souvenirs.
