The Mission:  To create an anthropomorphized character of a monkey to serve as the mascot/logo for a startup company that builds and customizes motorcycles.

Their Services:  Motorcycle customization, rebuild derelict motorcycles, and build motorcycles from scratch based on the customer's needs and specifications.

The Challenge/Overcoming Barriers:  As monkeys and apes are already somewhat anthropomorphic, it was difficult to try and make a visual graphic of one that was sufficiently separate from both humans and simians.  I decided to give my design a pronounced beard and rough-and-tumble look so as to make him look like a human biker while also maintaining primate characteristics.

The Outcome:  I was able to achieve the design that the company desired and face-to-face they expressed their satisfaction with the work that I had done for them.  They stated that, "they couldn't have envisioned a better logo for their company than the one that I had created."

The Results:  The company had reported back to me approximately one month after the completion of my job that their traffic had increased by more than 20%.  They even mentioned, when asked, that they were intrigued by the "popping" logo that they had stopped by to inquire about the company's services and/or hired them as a result.

Die Herausforderung/Überwindung von Barrieren:  Da Affen und Menschenaffen bereits in gewisser Weise anthropomorph sind, war es schwierig, eine visuelle Grafik zu erstellen, die sowohl von Menschen als auch von Affen ausreichend getrennt war. Ich beschloss, meinem Design einen ausgeprägten Bart und einen rauen Look zu geben, um ihn wie einen menschlichen Biker aussehen zu lassen und gleichzeitig Primatenmerkmale beizubehalten.

Das Ergebnis:  Ich konnte das Design erreichen, das das Unternehmen wünschte, und von Angesicht zu Angesicht drückten sie ihre Zufriedenheit mit der Arbeit aus, die ich für sie geleistet hatte. Sie erklärten: „Sie hätten sich kein besseres Logo für ihr Unternehmen vorstellen können als das, das ich erstellt habe.“

Die Ergebnisse:  Das Unternehmen hatte mir etwa einen Monat nach Abschluss meiner Arbeit gemeldet, dass sein Traffic um mehr als 20 % gestiegen sei. Sie erwähnten sogar, als sie gefragt wurden, dass sie von dem „knallenden“ Logo fasziniert waren, bei dem sie vorbeigeschaut hatten, um sich nach den Dienstleistungen des Unternehmens zu erkundigen, und/oder sie deshalb eingestellt hatten.

La mission:  Créer un personnage anthropomorphisé d'un singe pour servir de mascotte/logo pour une start-up qui construit et personnalise des motos.

Leurs services : personnalisation de motos, reconstruction de motos abandonnées et construction de motos à partir de zéro en fonction des besoins et des spécifications du client.

Le défi/Surmonter les barrières:  Comme les singes et les grands singes sont déjà quelque peu anthropomorphes, il était difficile d'essayer de créer un graphique visuel suffisamment séparé des humains et des simiens. J'ai décidé de donner à mon design une barbe prononcée et un look rude et rugueux afin de le faire ressembler à un motard humain tout en conservant les caractéristiques des primates.

Le résultat:  J'ai pu réaliser le design que l'entreprise souhaitait et face à face, ils ont exprimé leur satisfaction du travail que j'avais fait pour eux. Ils ont déclaré qu'"ils n'auraient pas pu imaginer un meilleur logo pour leur entreprise que celui que j'avais créé".

Les résultats:  L'entreprise m'a signalé environ un mois après la fin de mon travail que son trafic avait augmenté de plus de 20 %. Ils ont même mentionné, lorsqu'on leur a demandé, qu'ils étaient intrigués par le logo "éclatant" par lequel ils s'étaient arrêtés pour se renseigner sur les services de l'entreprise et/ou les avaient embauchés en conséquence.
