Project Brief Summary
This project requires its designers to conceptualise and generate an UX/UI outcome. This outcome will act as a continuation of the previous CI project. The UX/UI outcome should adopt an appropriate concept. The project involves conducting research, user testing, prototyping, wire-framing and a final digital execution. At the end of the project a vertical narrative should be developed. While UX/UI designs normally consists of a huge number of user journeys and systems, this project focuses on the apps core functions.

Rationale
The Roar app aims to provide children all over the world with an African experience from the safety of their homes. This
brand acts as a subscription service that provides child-orientated, educational and entertaining games, activities and toys.
The app aims to be informative, simple and easy to use. The app is directed at parents with small
children who wish to enhance their child's education and expose them to new, helpful stimuli. The app can
be used as a way to track the child's progress, subscribe to monthly packages or purchase individual toys.

Roar seeks to fill a gap in the market by providing an app that is focused on increasing skills such
as speech, reading, motor skills e.t.c. Many of the items used will also provide a place for guardian
and child to connect and form a positive form of attachment. It is essential for the Roar app to function
easily and flow well to provide ease for its users.

Visual representation of the body of work- Process Work
AFRICAS' ETCHINGS:
The typography must remain consistent throughout all deliverables and devices to ensure that the ROAR brand remains recognisable and to ensure that all deliverables look congruent. All printed advertising, event collateral and website design should stick to the defined parameters.
THE TONES OF THE WILD:
This natural, friendly colour palette serves as an essential part of the ROAR brand. These calm colours portray feelings of simplicity, warmth and happiness. These colours work in a way that can appeal to both child and parent. The earthy tones have been inspired by the South African landscape. The intention of the colour palette was to move far away from the harsh primary colours and instead use something that is soft, harmonious and peaceful. The colours above are the only colours which may be used on the ROAR logo. No other colours may be used.
USER FLOW:
This user flow shows a break down of how the app is intended to function.
WIREFRAMING:
These wireframes started as initial sketches. As the app began to unfold these sketches were transferred into digital wireframes. These frames explored refining the functional elements of the app.
Final Digital Execution of App
WELCOME SCREEN -
These welcome screens introduce a new user to the app. We have designed an interface perfectly suited for your child's needs. The welcome screens tell the user about the main features of the Roar app.

ACCOUNT REGISTRATION -
The user is asked to fill in some basic information in order to start using the application.
They can either sign in or create a new account.

THE MAIN PAGE -
This page contains all the main navigation buttons. From here, users can enter into
many different user journeys. Many user flows are available from this point.
TIMELINE PAGES -
These pages provide the child's developmental timeline and their progress in three important fields- physical development, cognitive development and social development. The user can then add the child's progress by submitting a quiz.

TOY PAGES
These pages provide all the detailed information about the toys found inside the app store. It provides a toy
description, the skills it develops and the appropriate age for the gift. These items can then be added
into the cart for purchase.

CART AND PAYMENT PAGES
Once items have been selected, users can purchase these items. For the users convenience multiple payment
options are provided. Once the payment is complete, Users can track their products location.
