When the teacher told Alessio to read a book for the holidays, he wasn't happy. He had never liked to read but now, unfortunately, that was his duty. 📖
His grandmother, who has always been a great reader, explained to him that when you read a good book you need a special place to do so (that for her was her armchair). Ale decided to find his special place and tried looking for it in all his favorite places, from the ice cream shop to the shoe shop, from the backyard to the supermarket but none of those places seemed to satisfy him.😥
Disheartened, he decided to take a walk, when he came across a small abandoned harbor. That was the perfect place, he was sure of it! 🥳
He sat down, took off his favorite red shoes, took the book in his hands and began to read. Suddenly, while he was immersed in reading, a strange creature appeared in front of him. She almost looked like a child but.. she had a fishtail insted of legs! He pretended nothing had happened to not scare her away. He came back to the harbor the following days and continued to do the same. When he finished the book the little mermaid spoke to him, and she asked if he could return there to read because at the bottom of the sea, in her house, she had no books and couldn't read those wonderful stories he talked about!
