The La Grou family has been growing grapes and making award-winning wine in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills for 16 years!
Our home vineyard was planted in 2000 entirely with Sierra Vista Syrah cuttings on its own root-stock, tracing back to the 1800's Chapoutier Northern Rhone Valley clone.
Since we have outgrown our home wine making facility, we are making our wine at a local winery, Mira Flores (photos below).

In 2019, our social wine venture, Vinheart soft-launched in New Zealand where we worked with select winemakers from New Zealand's wine growing region.

View of the Tahoe Sierras from Sierra Vista Winery where we obtained our Syrah cuttings. The Syrah cuttings originated in the S. France (Rhone) vineyards of Chapoutier, were exported to Grange in Australia, and finally imported to U.S. under the name "Estrella River" Clone.
