Final luggage tag design.
I decided to change the layout because the first design did not match the airline in any of the previous creations, so the gradient made more sense. The use of the logo also ties together the airline and the luggage tag. I wanted it to be simple, elegant and most importantly: useful. The white transparent boxes allow ink to be seen easily, creating a useful luggage tag.
Junction Airlines is based around my hometown, Roseville, California. Roseville used to be a large train junction city in California, hence the "Junction" name. I also used Junction as it implies bringing people together, and a sense of family and familiarity. The rose colors and theme ties back into Roseville and provides an aesthetic brand. Southwest Airlines is an inspiration behind this airline, as they have been my favorite airline ever since my childhood. I wanted to bring together my love of aviation, design, and my attachment to my hometown into one large AP Project, and I love how it turned out.
