Bhutanese Cultural Centre
An academic project wherein I was tasked with designing a Bhutanese cultural centre for in New Delhi, India.
The design concept I proposed, I termed as, reversibilty, wherein I reversed or rather manipulated carefully the facades of the buildings in Bhutan, bringing them to the interior spaces in my project.
My design aims to highlight, yet subtly, the most common architectural elements of Bhutan and then build on them, contexualizing them to the local geographical context of New Delhi.
In doing this, I made sure that no man would feel out of place - neither the passerby nor the visitor.
