RED FANG, heavy metal / stoner rock, American band, on Europian tour, arrives in Portugal for two shows, acompanied by LORD DYING and THE SHRINE. All RELAPSE RECORDS bands.
Due to the aligment of this show, a sense of brutal animalistic euforia was set since the start of the poster's development. The raw heavy metal sound and the primal power all the band have in their tracks could only be translated to a graphic composition, through something big, ugly, heavy and vicious.
And that's when we found the crocodile. What better way to bring up all those brutal, raw and violent instints, then a prehistoric giant lizard, with big ugly fangs and a vicius bite fighting for a bloody fiest.
A set of several different crocodiles were made, in black and white, working arround the use of large black shapes and shadows, that would make the compositions stronger and bring coerence between the crocodiles.
Aside from the crodiles, some black ink stains were made, to try and replicat the splaters of blood.
