Norway is a country in Northern Europe located on the western coast of the Scandinavian Peninsula. It has a long and rich history, with archaeological evidence indicating human habitation in the area as far back as 12,000 BCE. During the Viking Age, Norway became a powerful maritime nation and established colonies throughout Europe, the North Atlantic, and beyond.

In the Middle Ages, Norway was ruled by the Norwegian monarchy and was part of the Kalmar Union with Denmark and Sweden. In the late 19th century, Norway gained independence from Sweden and became a constitutional monarchy. During World War II, Norway was occupied by Germany, but quickly regained its independence and established a social welfare state that has since become a model for many other countries. "Land of the Vikings", this Nordic country has landscapes that are as dramatic as their Vikings who once ruled more than a millennium ago. Just what Rick Riordan once said: "Pretty didn't do it justice. I felt like we'd sailed into a world meant for much larger beings, a place where gods and monsters roamed freely."

Traveling through Norway is a thrilling experience. I witnessed the raw and rugged terrains, where clouds collide with fjords.... and sun rays squeezing through finding a way in. Enjoy!
