Story of Justin Diaczynsky the Hero
This is a work of reality/fiction from my imagination. (I wrote this in 2016 during my trip to Costa Rica most of the grammar should be correct but I apologize if there still are any errors.)
Being a normal person is fun, however, I'm not normal. I have the Light of Hope in me. What is that you must be asking, well it’s kind of hard to explain but it’s like a power that works to protect people. Only problem is if you’re as timid as me you fail at everything. However, this all changed one day...
Man, I hate waking up but it’s the most I can do for my vacation in Costa Rica. Bird watching starts soon so I better make sure everything is ready. Camera check, water check, screw it i have what I need. So, I grabbed my bag and ran out the door. Little did I know today was about to change my life forever. Something not right I can feel it. My legs feel a little heavy. My bird watching group was waiting for me but the one I vowed myself to protect from any harm wasn't there. Guess Alice didn't want to get up today. As we walked and looked at birds, I could feel a disruption in the wind, but no one seemed to be bothered by it.
Some things you just have to brush off. We continue through the forest that we were in until I spotted something out of the ordinary. "A rose with almost no thorns. What in the world a rose with almost no thorns what am I looking at?" I said puzzled. This definitely proves something's not right. We end up turning around to go back to the hotel for breakfast. As soon as we get back, I spot Alice sitting and eating breakfast she looks up and made eye contact with me until I quickly broke it. "Dang it Justin be stronger than what you think you are today could be the day that you ask her the question" I said to myself.
Wait a second that's the rose again seeing it just a few feet from the doorway. "How'd it get here?" I asked myself. One of my friends walks up to me and asks if everything is alright to which I reply, "Yes just thought I saw something". Clearly, I did but no one was fazed by it. All of a sudden, a tremor happen which apparently was normal, but they never felt one this powerful. The ground cracked open, and it was weird because roses were pouring out. What in the world was happening? I approached with caution until a voice from the roses called my name.
"Justin you will pay for what you did" the voice stated. "What? What did I do?" I asked confused. "You know what you did?" The voice shouted back. Roses can't talk so how are you talking? "Oh Justin, Justin so easy to forget" the voice said. I am the only rose that can talk. Suddenly a figure jumped out and landed behind me. "I can't believe you forgot about me have those 4 years completely destroyed your memory" the figure asked. You had one rose in your life and you forgot my name!! How rude Justin.. This will make you remember!! "ROAR!!!" Another figure appeared from the rose hole. The first figure said, "APPEAR NOW BLACK ROSE DRAGON!!!!" "I know that dragon, but it can't be AKIZA?!?!?!" I said shocked. "Good Justin Good you remembered" Akiza said.
"But how there’s no way you could have gotten to me" I stated. "You should know me by now Justin, but you let another girl in your life besides me" Akiza said angrily. So, if I can't have you NO ONE CAN!!! The rose vines from Black Rose wrapped around my legs and arms dragging me into the air throwing me from side to side. Akiza please calm down your gonna harm more than just me there’s people here who have done nothing. "AHHHHH!!!" I looked to my right and Alice was now in the air from Black Rose. I could tell Akiza was mad but couldn't tell why she wanted to harm the girl. "YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST TAKE JUSTIN AWAY FROM ME!!" Akiza shouted. After all I've done for him while you don't even know him-"Akiza STOP THIS AT ONCE" I shouted. As if hurting me isn't enough you go and hurt another human. If you want to hurt me so bad duel me. "Ha! You don't even have your duel disk let alone your deck" Akiza said laughing.
"You’re forgetting something Akiza" I said with a smirk. "You talk way too much about the light of hope" Akiza said to me. I felt a surge and light suddenly show on the vines around me and Alice. The light broke through and destroyed Black Rose. The surge of power is still well within me. "I call upon the light of hope" I said. Light of hope accept my cry in this crisis. Suddenly a duel disk with my deck in it appeared out of the light and on to my arm. The duel would start now. This duel would be one of my toughest not just because I was facing Akiza, but I was fighting to keep the girl I loved out of harm’s way. Passing the first few turns of the duel I was losing badly I needed a draw that would give me the advantage. "Light of hope if you still dwell within me GIVE ME POWER FOR MY NEXT DRAW!!" I shouted. I drew the card CYBERON SYNCRON the exact card I needed. With this card I've won this duel. Akiza you've lost this duel. "How?" Akiza asked. I'll show you how. Now I summon Cyberon Synchron and with its effect I can special summon a card from my deck or grave. So now I special summon Cyberon Rose! I think you know what’s next Akiza. I activate my spell card Cyberon Affection. This card allows me to take a monster from your grave or deck and summon it to my side of the field, I choose Cyberon Star! "HOW DID YOU KNOW I KEPT IT IN MY DECK?" Akiza asked. "Because you tracked me down this far so to know that you still cared for me it would only make sense that you kept the card I gave you" I stated. Now I give you one of my cards from my hand so take it. All the pieces are in place. Now I tune Cyberon Synchron with Cyberon Star and Cyberon Rose. "With hope shining across the sky whether day or night only one creature can conquer the power of the stars AWAKE NOW STARDUST CYBERON DRAGON!" I shouted. Wait for it she's gonna play her trap.. Ha I knew you would play that so now I activate my trap Synchro Awaken which allows me to remove up to 3 monsters to synchro summon a monster from my extra deck, so I'll send Blue Rose Dragon and Luster Rose to call upon the earth's most powerful force. "Burry the world with roses of fire AWAKEN NOW BLACK ROSE DRAGON" Akiza screamed. Now the true battle of dragons will begin.
"Ha ha what will you do Justin your dragon can't stand up to the power of my Black Rose?" Akiza said laughing. That’s where you’re wrong Akiza. I activate Stardust Cyberon's special ability. This allows me to take control of your Black Rose until your next Main phase. So now STARDUST CYBERON OPEN UP YOUR TRUE WINGS! Now I have control of both Stardust and Black Rose! "I activate my spell card Cyber Correction this card allows me to remove from play a Cyberon monster to summon a synchro tuner straight from my extra deck, so say hello to Cyberon Ultimate Star" I said. Now I’m gonna tune it to the next level!
So, I tune Cyberon Ultimate Star with Stardust Cyberon and Black Rose. One creature can rule over the entire galaxy with one ferocious roar say hello to CYBERON ULTIMATE DRAGON. With this my victory is sealed! Ultimate Dragon attack Akiza with Cyberonion Blast. Akiza's life points fell to zero meaning I won the duel saving me and Alice. I was severely injured from the duel but I still stood victorious. The Light of Hope got me through the duel and brought me victory.
Akiza, I need to know why you tried to harm Alice, I understand me but she had nothing to do with it. Akiza started to tear up. "I just didn't want you to be hurt again" Akiza said. "Again?" I asked. I've seen your struggles in this universe and I wanted you to come back to your home “sniffle" please Justin, come home with me all of us miss you. "You know I can't even if I wanted to"I said shocked by this. "Yes, I do but why does this have to be Justin" Akiza said. Our conversation was cut short when a loud crash came from the forest behind us.
Darkness started shrouded the area around us. "Akiza what's happening?" I asked. Umm I don't exactly know Justin. "Your time is up Justin and Akiza" a voice stated. This world will come to an end. "No no no this is really bad what are we gonna do about" Akiza said panicking. Well, I need to get Alice to safety! Akiza, can you cover us since you actually have your duel runner. "You got it Justin, get them to safety" Akiza said. So, I took Alice by the hand and told everyone to follow as quickly as they could. "You guys should be safe here, do not try to help because this is beyond your comprehension" I stated. KABOOM!! I jolted my head towards the explosion.
"AKIZA!" I screamed. I ran as fast as I could towards the smoke in worry that Akiza was hurt. "Akiza!" I screamed again. I started to panic then I saw it her duel runner. No no no AKIZA! She was knocked out by her duel runner. The darkness fled before I got there.
Akiza... I picked her up and brought her to where everyone else was. I laid her down and ran out to get her runner. I brought her runner to the room then tended to Akiza's wounds while she laid on the bench. Both Akiza and her duel runner were in very bad shape.
"She had just finished her duel with me and she was dragged into more harm, I blame myself for this now because of me the one person who actually cared about me is severely injured" I said sadly. I started crying and blaming myself for everything that had happened. "Justin it's not your fault". "What?" I said with tears in my eyes. "Get up and get payback for what happened". I looked up it was Alice. "But you got injured for something that shouldn't have involved you" I stated. "Justin stop feeling bad for yourself" Akiza said as she started getting up from the bench she was on. No no Akiza stay lying down you need to rest. Some of my tears hit her hand. "Justin are you crying?", Akiza asked teasingly. No, I just have something in my eye. Akiza and Alice didn't believe me one bit. "You know you can cry Justin but try not to take all the blame" Alice and Akiza said. I couldn't hold back anymore and I bursted out crying. Akiza and Alice comforted me. For once in my life, I felt needed. "I’m here to fight alongside you Justin" Akiza proclaimed. "As am I, anyway I can help" Alice said. "Thank you I don't know what I do without both of you" I said still crying.
Akiza shouted out in pain. "Akiza, you need to lie back down your wounds from both of your battles are not yet healed" I said. But Justin... No Akiza no buts your hurt very badly and you need to get some rest. I told Alice look after Akiza while I go see her runner for repairs. Make sure she doesn't try to get up. "You got it Justin" Alice said to me as I went out the door.
"Justin's nice you know" Akiza stated to Alice. “Yeah, but he's quiet most of the time” Alice responded. "Not with me" Akiza said blushing. He's much more of a talker than anything. He became timid when he was forced to adjust to his new surroundings. But his bravery is what stands out more than anything. "You seem really nice Akiza what made him leave you" Alice asked. Akiza replied, "well he was forced, Justin didn't want to, but he did it to protect me and the others." "Others?" Alice asked. "Our friends, the ones who taught Justin to be strong and to never give up" Akiza replied.
"Akiza the repairs on your runner are done" I said walking into the building. Hm? "What did I miss?" I asked to Akiza and Alice. "Not much" both replied. Um well your runner is good to go Akiza. "Thanks Justin" Akiza replied still blushing. I took notice to her blushing. Right well we need a plan to combat the darkness when it comes back. With the state you’re in you shouldn't be trying to help anymore Akiza...
"JUSTIN! I refuse to just sit here and let that shade of darkness knock you around like you’re it's personal chew toy" Akiza said angrily. Akiza, I understand you’re worried but your injur-"STOP Justin I can't just take a seat from this and there's nothing you can do to stop me Akiza stated." Grr if there’s nothing, I can do than the best plan is to get you fixed up to the point of you being able to ride again. Akiza get your deck ready cause this is gonna be one of our toughest fights yet. Alice smiled at my bravery of being able to stand with no fear.
"There's a slight problem" Akiza told me. "What?" I asked. You don't have your duel runner Akiza replied. "Ugh your right I don't" I said. "We'll address that when we need to" I proclaimed. For now, we should focus on getting ready for the battle ahead. "Umm what should I do Justin?" Asked Alice. I'd say cheer us on from the sidelines and try to keep everyone calm. "I wish there was more I could do" she said.
Such touching moments like these are so great to destroy. "Who's there?" I yelled. Oh, Justin and Akiza are both of you too lovey dovey to remember already. "Err its him the darkness" I said very annoyed. Already back are you well this time Akiza and I are gonna beat you to a pulp. "Mwhahaha I'd like to see you try. Both of you are rodents compared to me" the darkness said evily. Akiza, I hope your ready our toughest battle is about to begin.
"Justin what about your duel runner" Akiza asked. About that it’s time to call upon my last hope. "LIGHT OF HOPE please hear my cry and come to me in this time of need please bring me victory in our fight" I shouted. From the heavens high above one person is granted true power in the time of need. Suddenly light broke through the darkness and a duel runner appeared.
It’s time to destroy you for what you've done Shade. Destroy me ha what a joke. Akiza let me help you get on your runner. "Thank you, Justin," Akiza said. Just like old times right Akiza. "Yea I guess so" Akiza replied. Let’s start this duel Shade. "Your gonna die today Justin this is where all your fears come to reality" the shade said laughing.
THREE, TWO, ONE DUEL!! "I'll end this in one turn" the shade yelled. First, I summon Dark Scout and with his ability I can summon from my deck Dark Dragon Caller. So now two of my Dark Creatures are on the field which allows me to special summon Dragon Ruler of The Shadows. "HERE IT COMES JUSTIN" Akiza shouted. Now witness true darkness I tune my Dark Scout with my Dark Dragon Caller and my Dragon Ruler. Only a being truly powerful can control the shadows of evil and this being is DARK DRAGON OF DESTRUCTION! "Your time is now Justin meet your ultimate doom" the Shade proclaimed.
"Please be careful Akiza and Justin" Alice said while watching from afar. Time to destroy you Shade, you failed your mission so get ready your time is up. What do you mean Justin? It’s our turn draw- "But wait I shall destroy Akiza once and for all now" the shade interrupted. I activate my dragon's ability. This makes my opponent discard their deck by 10 times the highest-level card in their hand. Darkness FLASH FLOOD!!
"Too bad for you the highest card in my hand is a 3 which means I only discard 30 cards" Akiza said laughing. Now let’s finish this, Justin. First, I play my spell know as Synchro Awakening. "Allowing me to summon BLACK ROSE DRAGON" Akiza screamed. I'll chain my quick spell to her spell know as Machine Creation allowing me to summon STARDUST CYBERON DRAGON. Now we summon Cyberon Rose and Cyberon Star Synchron. "Now I'll tune these two creatures together to form CYBERONION DRAGON STAR" I shouted.
The Shade looked worried. "This can't be happening" the Shade proclaimed. Well, it is now, get ready for Akiza and I's ace monster. Akiza and I said "We tune Cyberonion Dragon Star with Black Rose Dragon, and Stardust Cyberon Dragon to form CYBERONION ROSEDUST DRAGON!! "With this our victory is sealed" Akiza and I said. "NO NO NO! My army of darkness is stronger than your Light of Hope" the Shade said aggravated. That where you’re wrong our Light of Hope will always prove to be stronger than that of the dark.
Be gone now shade CYBERONION ROSEDUST DRAGON DESTROY DRAGON RULER WITH STAR-ROSE BLAST. That’s not all when RoseDust destroys an opponent's monster it gets to attack again with double its current strength. So now Shade be destroyed FOREVER! CYBERONION ROSEDUST FINISH HIM WITH ROSEDUST SWEEP!! "No!" the Shade shouted as he disappeared.
"With that the Shade is gone and the darkness has lifted" I said to Akiza. We should head back now Akiza. When we got back to everyone, they cheered us as we got off our runners. I met up with Alice and she hugged me. Akiza looked a little sad but also happy at the same time. "Justin, I see you’re happy with her, but you haven't even asked the question yet have you?" Akiza asked. "Um no but I was getting to that part" I said blushing.
Now that this evil has been dealt with, I think it’s time I've said something. So, I told Alice how I felt and asked her to be my girlfriend. "Of course, Justin you and Akiza save many lives today, Akiza was right your bravery is what stands out from under your shyness" Alice said.
"So Akiza what will you do now?" I asked. "I will train my hardest and challenge you again Justin and then at that time I will beat you!" Akiza answered. Then start your training because it will take a while for you to catch up to my skill. Everyone started laughing even Akiza.
The darkness has been beaten for now, but more creatures of evil will rise again and try to destroy my friends and I. Until that day I will train and hone my skills to the best they can be. Watch out evil, Justin Diaczynsky is a true hero and I carry the LIGHT OF HOPE!!
