electric scooter
The el scooter allows its user to travel through a city with small effort due to the use of an electric motor. Furthermore, it is designed to carry goods in the size of a backpack. Those can be secured with a leash system.
Public electric transportation only just started in the year 2015 (the year of the design). Therefore, one part of the design challenge was to make the scooter show its novelty to the user. This was solved by placing a led display in the back of the scooter. A turning blue circle is displayed whenever the motor is active. In that way, the electric power becomes more visible. Next to this, the display is used to attract the attention of potential customers, shows battery life and increases visibility on the streets.
