Skärbäck is my second short film, again revisiting the forests of my childhood. I see this one as a sequel to Åkulla my first short film, but this time I wanted to Explorer whats going on under the surface, deep down in the hollows.
This is the longest personal project I’ve worked on and I’m proud to present it to you. Houdini was really the perfect software for this, as it allows you to visualize an idea in your head and then have full control over it during the process. Everything is rendered in Redshift, edit & grade in Davinci Resolve.
The sound design is made by my friend Carl Cerstrand, he truly captured the feeling I wanted to achieve with his musical talents. Check out his website at partickel.com
