Inspired by the classic B-movie monster flicks of the 1950's and 60's, my Plague of the Platy-People poster serves as a parody but also a homage to that era of film. Having grown up with these types of films, it was a blast to make my very own move monster.

Like a lot of the poster work back then, this piece was done utilizing traditionally illustrated cutouts of the  characters arranged on a background plate. Many films would have several posters floating around at various scales and compositions while utilizing the same key illustration elements of the film. While this piece's layout more reflects that of a lobby card, I still consider it a form of poster and film marketing in general.
