Cork City Greetings Card

A fun vintage greetings card design I made to promote my hometown of Cork City in Ireland.

The design is a tongue-in-cheek take on the famous vintage designs from America which featured beautiful landscapes and famous landmarks. I decided to have some fun and incorporate some of Cork's most famous exports and local favourites.

These include former Manchester United and Ireland football player, Roy Keane, Tanora, a local tangerine flavoured soft drink, Lennox's, a famous chipper and of course, my vice, Beamish, an alcoholic stout which was brewed in the city for years.

The text above the centerpiece text reads; 'Story Feen' which is local slang for 'Hello, How are you my friend?" The below text which reads 'The Real Capital' is a reference to the local feeling amongst fellow Corkonians that Cork is the actual capital of Ireland, not Dublin due to the animosity between the two cities :)

The background is a landscape photo I took on the seven heads hike around Courtmacsherry, a picturesque village in the
west of the county.

Thanks You :)
