THE QUINT - FREEDOM OF SPEECH

 BRIEF -

The Quint is an Indian general news and opinion website practicing free and independent journalism. They tells stories not everyone is willing to tell. The Quint strives to appease through its unbiased looking glass constantly questioning and sparking relevant conversations along the way. But today, the future of independent journalism — or, to be more precise, of "independence" and "journalism" — is at stake. Independence being a vital part of journalism just does not limit itself to it - freedom of speech is a universal human right. Free speech is about ordinary people having words.
The quint being intently alarmed about it, has taken an initiative to highlight the same through this campaign as they understand, they play an important part in exercising every person’s right to free speech.

CONCEPT -

One if while portraying his/her opinion goes beyond the line that is 'too far' and if offends someone the whole idea behind his thought is challenged.
But again offending someone is almost inevitable, we can avoid while addressing to an individual, but it is nearly impossible to avoid offending while expressing to 100 others.
There comes the whole idea - how far is too far? who’s the one to decide someone’s freedom, to decide the limit or the authority, because in the end, some or the other will be offended. Freedom of speech means, even if you don’t agree on someone’s view, you allow those views to exist.
Here this campaign, highlights different scenarios where one expressed their, opinions through various medias, be it a book or even just a reply offending one or the other hence showing both the sides - the one who was offended and the one who offended
Because attacking someone’s belief is far different than attacking the individual itself.
In the end its Freedom of speech for one, walk of shame for another, perspective is a trend, changing person to person, time to time.
