The Tube.
The oldest existing, underground rail network in the world.
The London underground, aka ''The Tube'' , was the world’s very first underground train network, with the first section opening between Paddington and Farringdon back in 1863, on what is now the Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines.
Since then, it has grown to be a vibrant underground masterpiece of 11 lines, 268 stations and over 250 miles of rail track, that made the use of a car in London totally unnecessary.
The ''Tube'' not only welcomes around 1.35 billion passengers yearly, but it also brings in an annual revenue of over 2.5 billion British pounds, a revenue that has generally been climbing year over year.
With that project I will try to demonstrate the daily life in that amazing network of trains that has been part of my life for the past nine and a half years.
Thanks for watching.
