ABSOLUT COLLECTORS SINGAPORE
The brief was to create an image that Singaporeans were able to relate to, while sticking to the ABSOLUT theme. Based on past ABSOLUT ads and prints where they played around with space and shapes and locations, I decided to use shophouses found on the streets of Singapore.
The main reason why the shophouse was selected as the main image was because in spite of the modern architecture and futuristic buildings that everyone relates the Lion City to, shophouses serves as a predominant sense of identity to Singapore's heritage. It balances out the past and the future fused in one design.
Moreover, the elaborate motifs that decorate each shophouse contributes to its uniqueness, which is also what ABSOLUT stands for - being unique and original.
A silhouhette of the iconic ABSOLUT bottle was also used in the image, outlining the windows and arches of the shophouse.
