VIA - System Scenario - Seamless Coupling between Devices

Collaboration and co-creation through in-depth user-study, mood boards and scenario building exercises led to the concept of ‘VIA’. Through this mobile system solution with an intuitive interface based on cloud computing, ‘seamless productivity on the go’ becomes a reality. Designed to be not just an effective tool, ‘VIA’ is a statement, a reflection of the tech-enthusiast’s personality.

THE DESIGN BRIEF

Target User Segment: Tech-enthusiast
Core Need: Seamless Productivity on the go
Opportunity Gap: Defining the role of products and services  [ for Product, the Primary device - Mobile and the Secondary device - Context device (context docking station, accessory); for UX, define Use cases - Convergence – Primary Secondary devices connection ]

VIA  System Flow
VIA - System Devices

VIA converts the user’s constant companion - the mobile phone – into the Primary Device or ‘brain’ - making it useful also as a thinking and commanding device (remote, router, etc.). The Secondary Device is a dedicated Secondary or any such context device, to which seamless coupling is possible anywhere, anytime, through RFID or similar technology. Memory intensive tasks are delegated to the personal/online desktop via cloud computing.
